| All raw materials are thoroughly tested for a considerable time prior to being granted approval. Suppliers of yarn and chemicals are recognised international firms. Protan’s production system, including its formulas, procedures and specifications, are subject to an ISO 9001 quality assurance system. |

| Protan was founded in 1939. Its first product was a lifejacket made of latex-impregnated linen cloth. Since then, the coating of technical textiles has comprised the core expertise of the firm. Today Protan has three business areas: Roof coverings, Technical Textiles and wall coverings, and Ventiflex ventilation ducts.

| The foundations for Protan`s business were laid between the wars and the production of ventilation systems started back in 1949.
